Origins of the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence
Tampa Bay Mission
In the beginning there was Sister Fister who saw the darkness upon the face of Tampa and lured this blister of society into to her spotlight of hope. And Sister Fister saw that her spotlight was good. Founding the Tampa Bay Mission of the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence in June of 2004. Sister Fister's flame is still blazing a path of altruistic enlightenment today and shall combust into the future and beyond.

Sister Fister has since moved to Los Angeles, where she continues to serve the community with the Los Angeles Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence.

The Tampa Bay Mission is on a journey to become enlightened and one day hopes to complete that missionary journey and become a fully professed Order of the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence. When we have completed our mission, the Mother House in San Francisco will recognize us with an Exequatur, which confirms our status as a fully professed Order within the worldwide communion of indulgence.

On the second day this Sister needed rest! And she saw that the rest was good. Thus the Tampa Bay Mission of the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence was born and their plight as goodwill ambassadors has reigned in America?s next great city since.

The Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence are a worldwide domination benevolent organization of drag nuns. These Kabuki creatures of habit spread goodwill throughout the world with Orders spanning the globe. Since 1979, the San Francisco Motherhouse has paved the path for our "Ministry of Presence" by enlightening and uplifting serious cultural, political and social awareness. The Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence are a 100% volunteer driven not for profit organization, that fundraises and subsidizes many needed charities.

The Sisters DO NOT mock nuns. We ARE nuns for the GLBT community. We take our vows to serve our community very seriously. We vow to perpetually indulge in life and to serve and protect our community. The Sisters grant our community perpetual indulgence, forgiving them of all sin and guilt often placed upon them by those attempting to deny us of equal rights and fair treatment.

The Tampa Bay Mission of Sisters takes great pride in their alliance with Locks of Love, the American Cancer Society, Winter Pr!de Tampa Bay, St. Pete Pride, Family Values (Covivant Gallery), Ban This!, The Tampa & St Petersburg Metro Centers, and our own outreach program on safeR sex. Enlighten and uplift through my ministry, the cultural and political awareness of those I encounter.
Perpetually Indulge in life, and celebrate each of my special sisters.
Contribute to an environment of understanding and equality.
Forgive and educate our community where awareness has not yet spread.
Respect the input and contributions of each of my sisters, and attend regular meetings.
To play any necessary role needed to complete a Sister task.
To lighten up! We're Drag Nuns! This organization is a fun uplifting way to give back to our community!
